Leogang is one of the most loved bike parks in Europe — and arguably the best for progression. The Asitzbahn gondola serves a huge graded network from properly beginner-friendly greens up to the UCI DH World Cup track. It hosts UCI World Cup and World Championship rounds regularly.

Everyone, but it's especially good for families and groups of mixed ability. The Hangman flow trails are world-class for beginners stepping up to a real bike park. The Pro Line and World Cup track look after the riders who can already send.

Trail bike for most lines, enduro/big bike for the blacks. Full-face required for DH lines. Helmet/pad hire on site. Bike wash, workshop, café, shop — full resort.

The progression. You can start on Hangman 5 in the morning genuinely unable to manhole a berm, and by the end of the week be linking the World Cup-adjacent sections of Hangman 1. Leogang is designed for riders to get better. The park has hosted UCI Downhill and Cross-Country World Championships and World Cup rounds repeatedly, which means the trail standard never slips. The valley also has a separate enduro trail network and Saalbach next door — easy to fill a week or two without repeating.

Sample plan: arrive Saturday, ride a half-day Sunday on Hangman 5 to find your legs, take Monday as a skills lesson with one of the on-site coaches, then build through the week onto reds and blacks. By Friday you're sessioning sections that scared you on Sunday. The Bikepark Leogang academy runs structured progression sessions for under-18s — worth booking ahead. Combine with a day at neighbouring Saalbach (Hinterglemm Bikepark) for variety: same valley region, slightly different trail flavour, sometimes covered by combined passes.

Top trails to ride

  • Hangman 5 Blue
Long, perfect flow trail — the most-ridden in Europe for good reason.
  • Hangman 1 / Speedster Black / Pro
World Cup-grade DH features — for the experienced.
  • Flying Gangster Black
    Big jump line, big consequences.

Getting there from Ireland
