This is my guide to where you can mountain bike in Co. Tipperary, with locations, access info, and honest descriptions. I'm 13, I live in Clonmel, and I've ridden all of these areas. Use this as your starting point for planning rides in the area.

46km flat surfaced trail from Clonmel to Carrick-on-Suir along the River Suir. Suitable for all fitness levels and all bike types. Year-round access. Excellent for distance days, recovery rides, family cycling. See the Suir Valley Greenway guide for full details.
Navigation tools for Tipperary MTB
For the lower forest trails and greenway, any mapping app works fine. For the upper mountain terrain (Comeraghs, Galtees, Knockmealdowns), you need proper offline mapping before you lose signal. Download Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) app and cache the relevant map tiles before going into the mountains. Komoot is good for community route notes. Cross-reference Komoot tracks with OSi maps — don't rely on a single GPS track you don't recognise.
